Vince Vogel is a bassist. He first appeared in the punk scene as the original bass player for Screeching Weasel in 1986, where he was known as "Vinnie Bovine". Prior to joining the band, Vince was acquainted with SW guitarist Jughead through a friend named Dave Robinson and because Jughead dated Vince's neighbor. Vince also attended the same junior high as Ben Weasel and Jughead but was a bit younger and Ben would later state that while he didn't remember him, they had apparently crossed paths through what Ben referred to as his "reign of terror" that may have left Vince a bit traumatized. He appeared on Screeching Weasel's debut LP and also recorded songs for split 7" with The Ozzfish Experience that was never released (the SW songs were released 10 years later on the CD reissue of their first album). In 1988, Vogel was fired from Screeching Weasel due to "personality conflicts". According to Jughead, Vince began employing the habit of driving nails through the front of his shoes, with the pointed end of the nail sticking out in the front, which made performing onstage hazardous for Vince's band mates. Also, Vince had allegedly become a bit unhinged by a break-up with his girlfriend. At one Screeching Weasel show at Durty Nellies, Vince spotted his ex from the stage and swung his bass in an attempt to hit her but, instead, the bass made contact with the head of Warren Fischer. By the time he was kicked out of Screeching Weasel, Vince was also playing with Impulse Manslaughter, a band that Jughead felt better suited Vince's musical tastes (Vince was big thrash metal fan). Vogel and Impulse Manslaughter drummer Glen Herman formed the Vermicious Knids in 1989 after Impulse Manslaughter briefly called it quits. Vermicious Knids managed to contribute one song to the There's A Fungus Amongus 7" compilation on What The Fuck? Records in 1989 before Impulse Manslaughter reunited. Vogel remained with Impulse Manslaughter until the band ended in 1993. From 1995 until 2008, he performed with the local metal band Severed.
