Iron Rail

The Iron Rail was a West Side bar that played a lot of punk/hardcore shows in the late 80s. It was at 5843 W. Irving Park Road and was known for being a bit of a shithole. Two promoters, Sean Duffy (Last Rites) and Troy Dixler (Midwest Managemest), booked shows there regularly. As a result, there was a steady stream of punk shows there throughout the second half of the 80s. The Iron Rail goes as far back as at least the 70s, where they used to book more mainstream rock shows.
