The Swingers were an old punk band from the late 70s and/or early 80s. In 2005, The Swingers played at the 10th anniversary O'Banions reunion at The Note, along with Tutu and the Pirates and the Bonemen of Barumba. At the time of the reunion show, the members lived in Pennsylvania.

- From John Davies - "Produced by Fred Tieken (who recorded my single with Gary Jones a year later). I recall talking to Fred about this single. They had original material, but they got a lot of publicity for recording "Jetplane", which was originally a hit for Peter Paul & Mary and written by John Denver."
