Friction was pop-punk/emocore band from the western suburbs (Downers Grove/Lombard) who existed from 1991 until 1994. The band played one reunion show at the Fireside Bowl in 1995. Vocalist/drummer Bob Nanna would go on to create a name for himself in the emo and indie-rock scenes fronting the bands Braid and Hey Mercedes as well as a number of other, smaller bands and projects.
