Lost Cause were a pretty well-known punk/hardcore band led by frontman Joe Kelly from the mid-to-late 80s. They released a couple records and their music evolved into more of a metal sound as the years went by. Lost Cause often opened up for some of the larger national punk acts (typically at The Metro) and as a result got quite a bit of exposure within Chicago. After Lost Cause broke up, all of the members outside Joe Kelly formed MOSH.
