Mary Alice Ramel was a scenester of the early La Mere Vipere days. She produced the very first Chicago punk fanzine - The Gabba Gabba Gazette - in 1977, while she was a student at Columbia College, Chicago. At the time she was working at Rolling Stones Records and was invited to the first La Mere punk night by a co-worker. As MA put it "We went together and he hated it. I loved it." - the rest is Chicago punk history.
