Seismic Waves were a punk band in a UK/West Coast hybrid style. Known for the eternal hit Lip Sync To The Go-Gos and for being African-american in a decidedly pastel scene. Rodney was a DJ on WNUR (Northwestern) radio, hosting "Fast & Loud". Terrific live band.
