Infections were a punk band from the south side of Chicago. Founding members Jeff Fields (drums/vocals) and Brian Laff (guitar/vocals) met while both were attending Moraine Valley Community College in the spring of 1981. They recruited Jeff's brother Larry (bass) and began rehearsing in the Brothers' garage. After compiling a set's worth of original songs, they hit the Chicago and suburban club circuit. Opened several shows for Chicago scene veterans Bohemia before branching out to their own bookings. Cubby Bear, Space Place, Exit, C.O.D.
