Electrical Audio is the Chicago recording studio owned and operated by Steve Albini, and the location where Albini does most of his recording. Originally recording out of a studio in his home, Albini moved his studio to the current Electrical location in 1997.
Electrical Forums
On the Electric Audio website is one of the most active Chicago-based music message boards. Though the board itself is for studio discussions, the General Discussion area is by far the most active. As expected, the General Discussion topics extend well-beyond music but the members themselves are almost all music fans.
