Painter Band was a band out of the Disturbing Records scene that features family members (and likely actual members) of The Cunts.
Painterband is mentioned by name in the 2000 John Cusack film High Fidelity. Cusack, as record store owner Rob Gordon, boasts to his friend that he's going to sell several copies of the new Painterband 7", and puts on the Reactor single. Everyone in the store loves it and buys a copy.
