- January 4 - Naked Raygun announced that they are back together and playing shows
- April 27 - Naked Raygun and The Effigies played together at the House of Blues
- May - The Effigies release Reside, their first album of new material in 21 years.
- August 11/12 - Heavy Manners plays a reunion show at Halsted Market Days
- August 22 - Ring 13 played their first show in 22 years at Ottos in Dekalb.
- November 14 - Haunted Town Records reissued Raygun's Basement Screams on vinyl
- November 17/18 - Naked Raygun and Sludgeworth play at Riot Fest 2007
- November 23 - A 30 year reunion for La Mere Vipere takes place at Club Foot
- November 24 - Joe Losurdo's documentary You Weren't There premiers to a completely full Portage Theater.
- November 24 - End Result, Negative Element, a "Strike Under cover band" and The Mentally Ill play the YWT afterparty at The Beat Kitchen
