Baxter is a post-hardcore band from Chicago that formed in 1995, originally consisting of Tim McIlrath on lead vocals, Neil Hennessy on guitar and backing vocals, J. Wood on bass, and Anthony Fiore on drums. Timothy Remis would replace Fiore on drums in 1997. The band would split up in 1999, with McIlrath, Hennessy, and Remis going on to form The Killing Tree. .baxter. was released in 2003 by Will Not Clear Man Records, and was a compiliation featuring their two studio albums, as well as a few unreleased tracks and demos.
