	~~THE BUMPUS HOUNDS~~		'''The Bumpus Hounds''' is a 3 piece Chicago trio started by brothers Peter (aka. THE P!$ToL - Bass/lead vox) and Michael (aka. Dr. Snoopy - Guitar/bkgrd vox) Vercillo. They added Mike Webb as their drummer. Formed in late 2009, the band wanted to continue the tradition of the "Chicago Sound" of punk rock; started by predecessors like NAKED RAYGUN, PEGBOY, THE EFFIGIES, STRIKE UNDER, SLUDGEWORTH, etc. The band is focused on writing songs that are aggressive, but that pays attention to melody. Elements of that Chicago brand of punk rock include big guitar sound, edgey and machine like driven bass, thought provoking lyrics, interesting and non-cliched subject matter, and incorporating a "less is more" mentality.

The Band went on hiatus from late 2015 to early 2018 due to some legal troubles for leader/trouble-maker, THE P!$ToL; but they are back and better than ever.
