'''Negative Element''' was a punk band, originally from Willow Springs (southwest suburbs). They were a young band and put on a rather energetic live performance. They are most well known for the songs ''Anti Pac Man'' and ''What Ever Happened To Elmer Fudd''. Their first show was August 15, [[1982]] at [[Exit]] with MDC, [[Six Feet Under]] and [[Rights of the Accused]]. The band broke (1984? 1985?) after the Stepe brothers moved to Peoria.

On November 24th, [[2007]] Negative Element played their first show in over 20 years. It was at the aftershow to the [[You Weren't There]] premier and 3 of the 4 original members (Keith was in Germany and could not attend) were present and original singer Sparky even joined in to play ''National Socialism''.

'''Life Sentence''' was a popular Chicago punk/hardcore band from the mid 1980s to the early 90s. They were from Itasca and formed out of the ashes of the [[Anti-Bodies]] and [[6 Feet Under]] (not to be confused with the Metal band). They went through a few lineup changes and even some nasty lawsuits between members and the rights to the name.

Ray Morris

'''Ray Morris''' was the lead singer in [[Six Feet Under]] and the original singer for [[Life Sentence]]. After roughly 1 year of playing shows (1984) with Life Sentence, Morris had to abruptly leave Chicago.He relocated to Atlanta and at that point, the band became a national touring unit. He would only play in Chicago 2 or 3 more times after that, under an assumed name. The band kicked him out of the band while on tour in 1986, leaving him on the side of the road in Kansas. He hitchhiked to the gig the following night in Norman, OK with the Descendents. He pleaded to be let back in the band, but the band refused. He had to be escorted out by security. He drifted to Orlando, Florida and would eventually be incarcerated for a couple of years on various charges of theft and fraud. He was released in the late 80's or early 90's but has not been heard from since. Some people close to him suspect he may be deceased.
