Though they are sometimes listed on a few websites (and the Mentally Ill's liner notes to their Gaacy's Place CD) as releasing the "first Chicago punk record" - most evidence shows that Pistol Whip was not a Chicago punk band. They were from Pennsylvania, and have ties to The Swingers - who moved from PA to Chicago.
