Earl Letiecq

Earl Letiecq was the original guitarist for The Effigies. Originally from upstate New York, Earl met up with John Kezdy shortly after moving to Chicago in or around 1980. He was with the Effigies until 1984. Earl was also a member of Jack Scratch with Dave Bergeron of Bloodsport in the late 80s and early 90s. Earl was often known by his nickname Oil Slick.

Earl first recorded with Cortland, N.Y.'s legendary Wreck'N'Crew, releasing a single on RAW records in 1980: Give 'em A Fight / Radioactive Love 7" Raw WC5, 1980 PS
