Notable Chicago Punk Events in 2006
- February 18 - Report Suspicious Activity play a show (with The Bomb) at Subterranean, marking Vic Bondi's first trip to Chicago in 20 years.
- September 9 - At the Touch and Go Records 25th anniversary festival, Big Black plays for the first time since 1987.
- October 19 - Naked Raygun plays their first show in 9 years at Cobra Lounge. It was a small, unannounced show in preparation for their Riot Fest gig.
- December 12/14 - 20 years to the month after forming, Johnny Vomit releases the first full-length CD/LP in the band's history.
