WZRD (88.3 FM) is a local, non-profit radio station broadcasting out of Northeastern Illinois University. They were quite popular with punk audiences in the 80s, including the shows Sunday Morning Nightmare and Teenage Party. Terry Nelson, Rob Warmowski, Billy Meehan and others were employed there at one time or another in the 80s. Joe Garza also had a show where he would bring in bands to play like the Bhopal Stiffs.
