Steve Economou was a founding member and longtime drummer for The Effigies. Steve and John Kezdy had been best friends since childhood and decided to form a band after high school. Steve was part of the Rainbow Girls with childhood friends Pierre Kezdy of Strike Under, Naked Raygun/Pegboy along with Mike Mockenhaupt of Six Feet Under. After the Effigies disbanded, Steve briefly played in Laughing Man with fellow former-Effigy Paul Zamost. In the 2010s, he formed High Value Target with Steve Bjorklund, in which he played bass. Outside of music, Steve works as a licensed architect.
