Steve Cheese

Steve Cheese was the original drummer of Screeching Weasel and All Night Garage Sale. Steve was born Steve Dubick, was originally from Door County, Wisconsin (hence, the nickname "Cheese") and had also drummed for a band when he lived there. In a Screeching Weasel history published in Alternative Press, SW guitarist Jughead stated that an ad that he and Ben Weasel they found Steve through a fanzine ad they had placed and that Steve resided in Wisconsin while he was in the band. Steve played all the drums on the group's debut album and Boogadaboogadboogada, the latter of which was released after he had left the group. He was asked to leave Screeching Weasel in the fall of 1988 because of his unwillingness to tour (by that time, Steve was married and was serious about his job), although the insert in the original pressing of Boogadaboogadboogada announced that Steve was not kicked out but had decided to "move on". Nothing certain is known about his post-Weasel activities.
