Slit and the Stiches (later on, just The Stiches) were a punk (and later funk metal) band from about 1979 to the early 1990s. Though not as well known as contemporaries Out of Order and Rights of the Accused, Slit and the Stiches were well-respected by both musicians and the Chicago punk audience alike. They never released any vinyl, but there is one cassette floating about. They were originally from Riverdale, Illinois.

History

Black Punk Time on roctober.com has a pretty well-written bio of Slit and the Stiches, from their beginning in 1979 as the Nigguzz to their end in the early 90s. Instead of stealing their info, just read it there.
