ONO is an Industrial/Avant/Gospel/Noise Band, founded in 1980 and played all over the Chicago and parts of the Midwest till the mid 80's.

The Band rehearsed weekly in a finished basement on the South Side near the affluent "PILL HILL" area. ONO shared the space with End Result at their inception July 1980 till they moved to the Mercy Mission.

First Show

At the Original EXIT on Wells - on the bill were Special Affect (Frankie Fun & Al Jorgenson) and Naked Raygun (Jeff, Mark-O, Santiago and [[Jim Colao]) ONO went on well after midnight after a late Raygun set. Line UP was P. Michael, travis and Marc the audience consisted of members from the 2 other bands and Debra Cadaver

  • ONO collaborated With the Cleveland band Obnox in the summer 2014

Today

  • Travis and P.Michael are still involved in live performance as ONO. Ric maintains the sound and visual archives and is retired from live performance.
  • On December 6, 2008 ONO played at the No Wave Fest at the Beat Kitchen
  • ONO toured the east coast in 2014 played NYC on June 28,2014
  • ONO collaborated With the Cleveland band Obnox in the summer 2014
  • ONO collaborated With the Al Jorgenson from Ministry in the Spring of 2015
  • ONO 5th studio album "SPOOKS" released in October of 2015
  • ONO played MOOGFEST in May 2017 and 2018
  • ONO played the Obey Convention in Halifax, Nova Scotia in May 2018
  • ONO collaborated with Detroit Noise Makers WOLF EYES in 2017-2018
 the album features contributions from OBNOX , Al Jorgensen and Hilal Omar al Jamal from the south bend IND. band  Night Auditor
  • ONO is now a full touring band and has played both nationally and internationally.
  • ONO completed work on its 6th LP "RED SUMMER" release date is Spring 2020- with guests wolf Eyes, Algiers, rappers Malci and Raheem Salaam. The release coincide with the celebration of the 40th anniversary of ONO.
  • ONO released a limited ed. lathe with 25 original drawings by travis for Cold moon records out of NYC - released in September 2018 - all 25 copes with the art work sold out -
