H.I.D. Productions Ltd was the record "label" that put out The Middle of America Compilation for WNUR. Outside of that record (which was release #1) it was the only record produced by H.I.D. H.I.D. (Hope is Dangerous) was also the name of the short lived punk band of the compiliation's producer and creative director. H.I.D played a limited number of gigs in Evanston, Il. during 1984 before quickly disbanding.

HID Productions is different than Hidden Identity Productions, which produces DJ records.
