Fast and Loud was a radio show started by Doug Conn and DJ'ed by Rodney Anderson on WNUR. It began in 1983, aired on Saturday nights and rocktober.com said it best:

"Hailing from the campus of Evanston's Northwestern University (where Rodney attended) it played a boldly diverse sampling of local, national and international punk, hardcore, Oi! and speed metal (see Zoetrope), and the show even spawned one of the great Midwest comps, The Middle Of America."
