Direct Drive was the original name for Articles of Faith. All the same band members, minus Dorian Taskbasksh, who joined the band in later years. The name change signaled a change in musical direction. Direct Drive was more of a rock band, doing Bruce Springstein and Clash covers, whereas under the name AoF, they played hardcore thrash.
