Formed in the early 1990s, the Chicago and Central Illinois-based Deadscene was an Oi! / streetcore band known as the first Illinois Oi! band to have members which were both Punks And Skinheads.

Early Years: Bio

The band was formed by Brothers Jason & Dan Dead around 1993. The Brothers promoted the band through their first small print run zine series "Deadzine" and "TimeBomb" and, later, "Raw Punk Bastards".

Deadscene went through several lineup changes before settling into the best known and longest lasting lineup which was Jason, Dan, Pete and Moe. The band ceased activity toward the end of 1999.


They played many live events mainly in Chicago and the Champaign-Urbana areas with such bands as: Riot Squad (Texas),URBN DK, Johnny Angel, Gutterhead, Rat Bastards, District 13,10-96, Johnny Vomit, Cold as Life, Drunken Catholics, and many others.

Some of the band members went on to play in the hardcore punk band Skullkrusher, as well as other bands.
