Dan Boardman was the drummer for Ring 13 while still in high school. Around 1986, Dan left Ring 13 when he went to the University of Nebraska on a wrestling scholarship. Dan played in Leafy Green Things and The Spectors after leaving Dekalb. Dan, Ring 13 bandmate Bruce Halverson and Blatant Dissent's Tom Clark all attended Dekalb High School at the same time.
