Bobby Skafish

Bobby Skafish was one of the most well-known Chicago DJs during the 1970s and 1980s. His most recent FM radio DJ position was with WXRT, where he left in August of 2006. He was known for playing acts like The Stranglers, David Bowie and Roxy Music during the beginnings of the punk era. As a result, he was well-received by the members of the scene. Currently produces www.handcraftedradio.com.

Notes

  • Though they are sometimes confused, Bobby and Jim Skafish are not the same person. They are first cousins.
  • His name is real and is pronounced "SKAY-FISH"
  • Bobby, Jim and the band Skafish have nothing to do with Ska
